Webinar: NAP unpacked

Te Waihanga hosted a webinar to unpack what the national adaptation plan (NAP) means for the infrastructure sector.

The NAP sets out the government’s response to the risks our communities, built-environment, economy and natural environment will face from a changing climate.

Led by the Ministry for the Environment, the NAP is the result of collaboration across government, and incorporates feedback from a wide range of stakeholders including, iwi/Māori, local government, industry, and community groups.

During the NAP Unpacked webinar, specialist speakers involved in developing the infrastructure sections address a specific action from the NAP, unpack what each means, and talk through what happens next.

The NAP’s infrastructure actions support creating resilience and adaptive capacity in the built environment, and there are many opportunities for local government and the private sector to get involved.

Webinar speakers:

  • Monique Cornish, Principal Advisor, Policy | Kaitohutohu Mātāmua - Te Waihanga
  • Joseph Hägg, Kaitohutohu Ārahi (Lead Advisor) - Climate Change Adaptation - Waka Kotahi
