This webinar explores decarbonisation and the draft National Infrastructure Plan. The draft National Infrastructure Plan forecasts how decarbonising our economy will affect the level and mix of investment in various infrastructure sectors over the next thirty years. Similarly, it speaks to how policy can affect the path to net-zero emissions.

The webinar has two parts - the first part, presented by Graham Campbell, Director - Economics & Research at Te Waihanga, explores decarbonisation aspects of the draft Plan.

The second half of the webinar includes a panel discussion webinar with three experts in the area of decarbonisation: Hugh Marshall-Tate, Principal Analyst at the Climate Change Commission; Geoff Simmons, Chief Economist at the Parliamentary Commissioner for the Environment; and Tim Denne, Director at Resource Economics.

The webinar was held on 23 July 2025.
