We are pleased to announce the appointment of Andy Hagan as General Manager - Infrastructure Delivery.
“We’re thrilled to have Andy joining our team at what is an extremely important time for the delivery of New Zealand’s infrastructure. As a country, we face some big infrastructure challenges and improving our ability to efficiently deliver infrastructure will be a major part of the solution,” says Te Waihanga Chief Executive Ross Copland.
“Andy is no stranger to Te Waihanga having been involved in our establishment during his time at the Treasury. He brings hands-on experience in major projects having recently advised on Wellington’s Moa Point sludge minimisation IFF project. On top of that, he has significant experience of the systems supporting government infrastructure investment and project financing.”
Hagan is currently a Director at project advisory consultancy HKA, and prior to this, worked for nearly 20 years in public sector infrastructure policy and funding and financing roles, including as a member of the Executive Leadership Team at New Zealand Treasury.
He says he is looking forward to joining an amazing team of passionate infrastructure experts.
“I’m keen to bring my skills and expertise to help the Commission improve infrastructure outcomes for all New Zealanders,” says Hagan.
As General Manager - Infrastructure Delivery Hagan anticipates working across the entire sector to help get better results in delivering infrastructure.
“Obviously, we will work a lot with public agencies and ministers, including infrastructure system and delivery agencies. But private sector stakeholders will be critical to collaborate and engage with to inform our work and unlock the barriers that are holding back productivity in the sector.”
Hagan takes up the role from 1 May. The role was previously held by Blake Lepper, who was recently appointed Head of Infrastructure Delivery at Te Whatu Ora, Health New Zealand.
