How

Responsible agencies should:

  1. Identify opportunities for more domestic reprocessing, including for plastics (especially e-waste), metals, fibreglass, plasterboard and aggregate.
  2. Develop relevant technical specifications and national standards for the re-use of recycled construction materials in infrastructure.
  3. Support innovation in, and the procurement of, infrastructure design and construction to enable a greater use of recyclable materials in infrastructure.
