Point 3: Delivery strategyBackground Ida (2)

Point 3 provides assurance on whether the Detailed Business Case presents a sufficiently robust basis for selecting and investing in a preferred option.

The review considers whether the preferred option addresses the identified need, provides the strongest overall value for money, is affordable and commercially credible, and has a realistic pathway towards procurement and delivery.

What the review focuses on

By Point 3, the preferred option should be sufficiently mature to support an investment decision. The review looks for confidence in the business case, whole-of-life costs and benefits, funding approach, procurement strategy, delivery planning, risks, governance and capability.

The key question is whether the agency is ready to move from developing the preferred option towards procurement and delivery.
